Rocsil ® HD20 is a two component phenolic resin product, was developed specifically to achieve a mine plug seal rated to a 50 PSI overpressure loading, these high strength mine seals are typically utilised to protect against overpressure (blast) events in underground mines.
ROCSIL® HD20 is a two component injection product, intended for :
• High strength overpressure (blast) event sealing
• Air and gas sealing and consolidation of highly fractured strata.
• Erection of firewalls at a safe distance.
• Crossing rock-fall zones in tunnels and mine workings.
• Rapid construction of stoppings.
• Injection of fractured strata and air leakage cavities to create a gas and air-tight seal.
ROCSIL® HD20 is applied using a pump unit and a mixing gun in a volume ratio of 4 to 1, producing a foaming reaction followed by a rapid expansion of the product to as much as 20 times its original volume. After expansion ROCSIL® HD20 sets hard in a few minutes.
ROCSIL® HD20 develops a very high compressive strength, meeting the criteria for creating seals against overpressure (blast) events in underground mines. ROCSIL® HD20 also provides rapid application (up to 45 m3/hour), superior penetration of strata and excellent antistatic properties to produce a cost-effective, quick and safe cavity filling and plug seal solution.
As it is classified as fire resistant, ROCSIL®HD20 is suitable for sealing off underground heating events and for aiding fire-fighting operations in deep mines.
ADVANTAGES :
- Delivers plug seals rated to a 50 PSI overpressure loading
- Controlled reaction rates provide excellent penetration of fractured strata
- High expansion rate, small quantities required for cavity filling.
- Instant foaming action, leak proof formwork not required.
- Good compressibility, adapts readily to strata movement.
- No flame propagation, suitable for fire-fighting applications.
